The Rake is an open-world survival horror game where you hunt down and confront The Rake. You use a variety of tools such as cameras, guns, beartraps, and bait to defend yourself against The Rake and other wild animals while exploring and completing quests in the detailed and realistic open world.

Gameplay Features

These include a detailed open-world environment filled with lore and loot, an hour-long main quest, a day/night cycle with weather effects, an original soundtrack, and a wide variety of guns and equipment. Additionally, players can deploy beartraps and cameras to aid in their survival and inventory management.

Storyline and Lore

The main campaign takes place in Hells Valley National Park in Pennsylvania, which has been closed off to the public for years due to numerous murders and unexplained disappearances. You have been invited by your friend to help him hunt The Rake after years of tracking its location. Upon arrival, you find a blood stain, flashlight, and frantically written note, marking the beginning of the main quest. The quest involves searching for your friend across various locations while defending yourself from The Rake and completing mini-objectives.

Analog Horror Series

The game also features an analog horror series that takes place fully in-universe. The first season is currently ongoing and provides backstory and lore for the first campaign. Future seasons will focus on future maps and campaigns, gradually expanding the world and universe.
