Description

About New Super Mario Bros. Wanted APK

This game is an exciting adaptation for the Super Nintendo, drawing inspiration from the mini-game “Wanted!” in Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros. The gameplay, however, is reminiscent of Undertale.

Gameplay Overview

Your primary objective is to navigate through the game while avoiding the heads of most characters, with the exception of Luigi. Your mission is to interact with him as frequently as possible.

Achievements and Modes

Success in the game is measured by collecting a specific number of Luigis. In Easy mode, you need to gather at least 30 Luigis, while in Hard mode, you must collect 20. Achieving this goal allows you to unlock a final screen and showcase your accomplishment.

Challenges and Features

The game presents an array of challenges, including up to 36 enemy heads that can bounce on the screen. Can you successfully evade all of them and navigate through this thrilling experience?

Controls and Development

The game’s controls are straightforward: use the Directional Pad to move your character and the Y Button to speed up your movement.

The game was developed using the PVSNESLib kit, with the logic programming executed in pure 65c816 Assembly. This impressive programming feat is even more remarkable given the strict limit of 256 Kilobytes of ROM, a constraint that only a few games have managed to overcome. Additionally, the LoROM mapping mode and SlowROM reading speed were employed, yet the game boasts high-color backgrounds and maintains a smooth 60 FPS frame rate without any drops.

Theme and Credits

Given the festive season, the game has a Christmas theme, adding to its charm and holiday cheer.

Special thanks go to Steely Billy for the music, BatimaTheBat for creating the Waluigi Sprite, and Jãnsin for designing the splash screen. This project is a non-profit fan creation, with all rights to the characters belonging to Nintendo.
