7 Years is a non-linear, open-world horror game that offers both a single-player story and 4-player online co-op. The game begins with the protagonist waking up in the middle of the night to find their wife missing. Desperate to locate her, they embark on a journey to find help, only to discover that they are the only person left in their mountainous neighborhood. The absence of phone service and the severed main powerline to the neighborhood heighten the sense of isolation. However, a modified HAM radio system transmits a repeating message with the protagonist’s name, suggesting that someone might be their only hope to find their wife and survive the horrors surrounding them.

Gameplay Mechanics

Players must traverse open-world maps as they investigate for clues, solve puzzles, uncover mysteries, and elude unique demonic enemies. Each enemy is designed to trigger a specific fear and complete their only mission: to find the protagonist. The game’s non-linear design allows players to explore and interact with the environment in various ways, adding to the sense of tension and fear.
